Torres del Paine National Park is a national park encompassing a mountains, glacier, lake, and river-rich areas in southern Chilean Patagonia. The Cordillera del Paine is the centerpiece of the park.
The Park’s hotels offer comfort and services to enjoy an unforgettable stay and daily tours and expeditions to the national park’s major points of interest.
Another option is to take a Trekking, Horseback, Climbing or Mountaineering circuit. In this case, you will have to stay in various refuges, which are becoming increasingly more comfortable and are conveniently located inside the Park.

ORIENTATION
The Torres del Paine National Park is located in Chile's Region XII, between the massif of the Los Andes Mountain Range and the Patagonian steppes, in Ultima Esperanza Province, community of Torres del Paine.
The park is located 112 km north of Puerto Natales and 312 km north of Punta Arenas. Bernardo O'Higgins National Park is its neighbour to the west, while Los Glaciares National Park is located to the north in Argentine territory.
WHEN TO GO?
Visiting the park is recommended between late December and late February, during the southern summer. Not only is the weather more hospitable, but daylight hours are very long given the extreme southern latitude.
HOW TO GET THERE
Punta Arenas airport is 20 km. from downtown Punta Arenas and 226 km. from Puerto Natales.
Its entry gates are about 115 kilometers from Puerto Natales.
The Sarmiento and Laguna Amarga entry gates are open from 8.30 a.m. to 8.30 p.m.,
all year round.
The most direct route is to travel to Punta Arenas, the largest town from which one can access the Torres del Paine area.
BY PLANE
Daily Lan Chile flights to Punta Arenas , capital of Region XII, from Santiago , capital of Chile.
A 4:15 hour long flight from Santiag , with stopover in Puerto Montt.
BY CAR
It is about 3100 km. overland from Santiago, or 2300 km. from Puerto Montt. The trip south from Puerto Montt is on the Argentinean side and crosses back into Chile via the Monte Aymond Pass, close to the Argentinean town of Río Gallegos and 192 km. from Punta Arenas.
BY BUS
There are no regularly scheduled buses from Santiago, but there are from Puerto Montt to Puerto Natales, the trip takes more than a day.
BY BOAT
Making the trip from Puerto Montt to Puerto Natales through the southern channels is another way of getting to know Chile and the natural setting of Chilean Patagonia.
Navimag vessels only sail on Monday, leaving at 2:00 p.m. and arriving in Puerto Natales at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday morning.
TOURISTIC INFORMATION
The National Park covers 181,000 hectares. It has roads for vehicles and paths for walkers. It has 3 entry gates, one administrative center and seven guard posts in various sectors of the Park.
Recommended points to visit on a 1 to 2 day stay: Perito Moreno and the village of El Calafate.
