Jodhpur is a city in Indian state of Rajasthan situated extremely attractive in the desert. It is located in the northwest. It has about 907 000 inhabitants. It was founded in 1459, serving as the state capital of Jodhpur or Marwar until its dissolution in 1949. The color blue was chosen to paint the facades of houses and shops between chaotic labyrinthine streets giving the town a lovely tone. Jodhpur in Rajasthan is about 300 kms southwest of New Delhi in the middle of a desert. It is located atop a giant hill with 125 meters in height between numerous palaces and temples.
